Warrior Strength & Conditioning Program
The Wahoo Strength and Conditioning Warrior Power program has been developed with student athlete safety and performance at its core.
The program progresses to ensure student athletes are using the correct form and technique by having a coach watch the LAST SET of every core lift. This holds student athletes and coaches accountable throughout the progress of the workout.
Strength and Conditioning is a PROCESS and should be viewed as so. The weight room does a great job of developing character and leadership in our student athletes. Those who are disciplined and follow the program in its entirety we firmly believe, as a coaching staff, will not only become stronger, but also become better teammates and members of society.
To ensure our student safety, as a coaching staff we have taken measures to have our program viewed by professionals in the medical field and strength training field. The originations of this workout template started under the direction and advisement of James Dobson (University of Nebraska & University of Vanderbilt) and Willie Jones (University of Nebraska). Since, it has been modified and also approved by Dr. Paul Sutton (Saunders County Chiropractic and Acupuncture), and finally, by Brett Wells (Hastings College), who is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Wells is an up and coming innovative leader in the Strength and Conditioning field, and currently works with 5+ athletic programs, both boys and girls, for the Broncos.
