Saunders County TeamMates in Need of Local Mentors
TeamMates Mentoring - Together, We Transform Lives
TeamMates Mentoring was founded in 1991 by Tom and Nancy Osborne in order to provide the support and encouragement youth need to graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education. TeamMates currently provides a mentor to thousands of youth in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota and Wyoming.
The TeamMates Mentoring of Wahoo chapter began in 2014, because the administrators and counselors in our district saw a growing need for this type of program. The Wahoo chapter has approximately 50 mentor/mentee matches at Wahoo Public Schools, serving students in grades 3-12.
If you would like to hear more information, are interested in becoming a mentor or know someone who would make a good mentor, please contact Program Coordinator, Shannon Hauswald at 402.443.4332, ext 7122 or shauswald@wahoowarriors.org.
TESTIMONIAL:
"I would like to recognize Teammates and how it's such an exceptional program. Teammates have helped me all throughout my high school and some middle school years being paired up with an adult who is there so that I can ask for advice and someone that encourages me to think about my future. I believe that I am in the position right now ready to leave for college because of this program. Thank you so much for investing in my education and believing in me. Teammates has been a big factor on who I am as a person today. I am forever grateful for this opportunity. You guys have given me a fighting chance on getting a better life for myself and my family. Thank you again! Teammates will forever be a big part of my life and I will continue to advocate for this amazing program."
