Welcome back! On behalf of Wahoo High School faculty and staff, I would like to welcome everyone to the 2024-25 school year. We have had a little of an extended summer; hopefully, everyone has recharged and is ready for the year. I am excited to kick off this year with our new facilities. The extra space was much needed and even though there will be a few challenges to start the year, I know that the benefits for our students will make the inconveniences well worth it.
Our first day is September 3rd , doors will open at 7:40 each morning and school begins at 8:00 and ends at 3:30. Wahoo High School works hard to maintain a safe environment for all our students. Wahoo Public Schools will continue to offer the best educational experience possible for its students. For this to take place, it is more important than ever parents and students take an active role in the educational process. Remember attendance and active participation are the key components to ensure student success, so when healthy, make sure your student is present. If you have questions as we open, please remember to ask someone if you need help! Together we will work to make this a great school year!
We will hand out computers on the first day back. Please make sure to log in to your Parent Portal and sign the device loan agreement. The $35 tech fee can be paid at Open House (August 28 th from 6:00- 7:30 pm) or the 1st day of school. Students must have the agreement signed and the rental fee taken care of before a student’s device can leave the building.
Finally, here are the plans for traffic flow and parking for the 2024-25 year. We have tried to come up with an efficient way for parents and students both before and after school, so the new parking and driveway will be one way. Seniors will use the new lot northwest of the high school. Juniors through freshmen will park in the south student lot. We will probably make some changes once school gets going, but that is how we will start. Also, students will enter the building through the main high school doors on the west side to start the day. Even with all the changes and new routines, I am very excited to welcome you back!
