Wahoo Public Schools has the following openings for the 2021-2022 school year:  

Certified Positions:

PRIMARY (GRADES K-2) ELEMENTARY TEACHER
Wahoo Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of primary grades elementary teacher (grades K-2) for the 2021-22 school year. Extra duty positions are available, but not required. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid elementary teaching certificate. Non-Certified Positions:

SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER
Wahoo Public Schools is accepting applications for a Sign Language Interpreter. This position will be for seven hours a day, Monday through Friday, on the days that school is in session. Please download the "Non-Certified Application" linked at the bottom of this webpage, or call Kris Pokorny at 402-443-3051. Applications can be emailed to WPS Director of Student Services Shelley Maass at smaass@wahoowarriors.org.

TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR
Wahoo Public Schools is accepting applications for a Transportation Director for the 2021-2022 school year. This position will also require you to drive at least two routes per day and for activities.

This person is responsible for scheduling all daytime routes, school activities, scheduling of bus maintenance, and keeping current on all school bus regulations. Technology skills will be a requirement of the position, and the position requires a CDL.

EVENING JANITORS
This position will be 40 hours a week M-F, unless there is an event on the weekend. The start and end times will be 2:30 – 11:00 p.m on a normal weekday, but may vary due to activities, so flexibility is a must. Applicants need not have experience, but some janitorial knowledge would be helpful. Starting pay will be based on qualifications. Single insurance will be provided by the District. All applicants are required to fill out a background check form before an offer is made. PARAPROFESSIONALS
Wahoo Public Schools is seeking applicants for paraprofessional positions in preschool and middle school. Please download and complete the "Non-Certified" application linked at the bottom of this page. Please send applications and/or inquiries to kpokorny@wahoowarriors.org or smaass@wahoowarriors.org.

BUS DRIVERS
Wahoo Public Schools is taking applications for substitute and activity bus drivers. All training and CDL classes for bus drivers will be paid by the district. If hired, you will be required to pass a drug screening and background check.

SUBSTITUTE PARAPROFESSIONALS & KITCHEN HELP
Wahoo Public Schools is seeking substitute paraprofessionals and kitchen help. Interested persons will fill in for a para or cook who is not able to be to work that day. These positions are for substituting only, on days that students are in session. Once a background check has been completed, you will be placed on the call list.
