Quiz Bowl Team Competes in First Meet of 2009 at Seward

Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Wahoo High School Quiz Bowl team attended their first meet of the year at Seward on October 1. This was the 10th annual Literature Quiz Bowl sponsored by the Nebraska English Language Arts Council. Wahoo competed in the large school division along with teams from Bellevue, Milford, Centennial and Seward.
In the morning round robin tournament Wahoo had a record of 1 win and 2 losses. The team advanced in the first round of the afternoon single elimination tournament with a big win over Centennial before being eliminated in the second round by Bellevue East.
Competing for Wahoo were Hank Hrdlicka, Melissa Campbell, Ashley Jordan, Nathan Tomjack and Chloe Davidson. Nathan was the high scorer for the team.
The next competition will be October 17 at Lincoln Northeast.
