WHS Alum Named Semi-Finalist in Mutual of Omaha's "Next Wild Guide" Competition
Please Support Tim Davison with Daily Online Vote!
In the 1960s and 70s, watching a grown man wrestle a hippopotamus made for riveting television!
Those who were raised during this pre-remote control era likely remember watching Marlin Perkins every week on TV, as he traveled all corners of the world sharing his passion for the wonders of wildlife. Perkins was the original Wild Guide for Mutual of Omaha's iconic Wild Kingdom program.
2013 marks the 50th anniversary of Wild Kingdom, and in an effort to revive the image of the show, Mutual of Omaha held a contest this past spring in search of their next Wild Guide. The contest required the submission of a video illustrating why the candidate felt he/she was the perfect choice for the job.
Well, all entries have been judged, and one of Wahoo's own has been selected as a semi-finalist!
WHS alumnus Tim Davison (Class of 2006) is among the top 12 semi-finalists in the competition! All 12 semi-finalist videos are now posted online, and are up for public vote to determine the winner.
Now it's our turn to support one of our own! The public is allowed to cast one vote per day until the end of the competition on Thursday, May 23.
