Warrior One Act: 2017 Capitol Conference Runners-Up!
Community performance of "Life of Riley" scheduled for Tues., Nov. 28 @ 8 p.m. in P-LC.
The 2017 Wahoo High School One Act Play Production team took the runner-up trophy at the Nebraska Capitol Conference competition on Monday, November 20 at Platteview High School! Receiving Outstanding Performance Awards were Kristin Callan, Cheyenne Moore, Isaac Redding, Aaron Redding, and Caleb Groff.
The Warrior One Act team opened their season by winning 3rd place in the Large Division at the York "K-Dub" Play Production Competition on Nov. 11!
The team's 2017 selection is "The Life of Riley 1929," an original play written by Anne Bowman of Wahoo. Mrs. Bowman is a former drama and speech teacher at Bruning-Davenport, where her speech and one act play production teams won several state championships.
"The Life of Riley" follows the final day of Riley Muldoon's life. Muldoon gets the opportunity to reflect on his life during the stock market crash of 1929. In his final days, Muldoon loses both his fortune and the love of his life.
The team will compete at Conference at Platteview on Monday, Nov. 20, and at Districts in Milford on Friday, Dec. 1. There will be a community show on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 8:00 p.m. in the Performance-Learning Center at Wahoo High School.
