7 WHS One Act performers recognized as 'outstanding' at Conference

As the coach of these fine young actors, I would like to say they were uplifting, funny and disciplined in their performance of The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet. This short farce is difficult to stage as it has many transitions and scenes. Our young actors, whether in the spotlight or in the background, were entertaining and innovative in their depiction of these timeless Shakespearean characters.
They will present this One Act on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the WPS Performance-Learning Center.
If you want an evening where you can laugh and relax with some great theatrical talent, come and join us! We will also perform once more on December 5 at Bennington for the District One Act contest.

Students prepare for "The Seussification of Romeo & Juliet"
One-act season is among us once again!
This year, the Wahoo High School drama department will be performing The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet.
"A whimsical reinvention of Shakespeare's tragic love story, complete with rhymed couplets, and creative wordplay - similar to something Dr. Seuss might have come up with if he ever had his way with the script."

The one-act will be performed for conference competition on Monday, November 25. A performance for the community and a musical variety show will be put on in early December. That date will be announced soon.
