2019 SEASON MATCH RECORD: 30-4 (Set Record: 78-14)
The Wahoo Volleyball team ended their 2019 volleyball season with a 30-4 record, and finished the season with a third place finish at State.
“I was really proud of how we ended the season,” commented Head Coach Trish Larson. “They showed a lot of grit against Broken Bow. They wanted to finish the season the right way.”
Three Warriors led the way in kills. Sophomore Mya Larson led the Warrior attack with 610 kills, a new school record. Junior Kelsie Sears added another 252 kills and 74 aces. Senior Lillie Mann finished with 188 kills.
“These three bring a lot of experience and court awareness to our team. They all have a very high volleyball IQ and use a variety of shots to find a kill,” Coach Larson said.
Middle blocker Mya Emerson contributed 69 kills and 21 blocks, while Taylor Luben contributed 24 kills. Sophomore Josie Sutton added another 40 kills.
“Mya and Taylor were key players on the team, they showed a lot of improvement throughout the season,” Larson added.
Junior Elle Glock ran the offense, ending the season with 1,016 assists for the year.
“Elle has become a very consistent setter and leader on the team,” Larson stated. “She has also worked on becoming more of a threat offensively to add another option to our offense.”
Libero Kendal Brigham added 383 digs.
“Kendal works really hard and is one of the most competitive people I know,” said Larson
Our seniors continue to leave a legacy, ending their career with a 122-16 record, four conference championships, and two state championships.
Congratulations Warrior Volleyball on another incredible season!
