Warrior SkillsUSA Chapter Brings Home 7 Medals from State Competition
Wahoo Beats Out 27 Other Teams to Take Technical Team Problem Solving Championship
The Wahoo High School SkillsUSA chapter competed at the State Leadership and Skills Competition in Hastings April 14-16.
Wahoo took ten students and brought home a total of seven medals!
Using hot glue, tape and a stapler, the task was to create a catapult that could be measured for accuracy, distance, and overall efficiency. The team also must create drawings of their machine and explain how they came up with the design. Wahoo came home with a State Championship, beating out 27 teams from all classes!
Other medalists were:
Michael Jonas: He got a perfect score and won the Jr. Division of the Metric 500 CO2 car race.
Aunbrea Zeleny: She got a 3rd place medal in Cosmetology.
