29 Wahoo Middle School students compete in 2018 SkillsUSA East Conference
24 bring home top-three medals!
Twenty-nine Wahoo middle school students traveled to Omaha to participate in the East Middle School SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference on March 1.
It was a very successful day for the Warriors, with 24 students earning medals for a top 3 finish.
The students competed in Powerpoint Presentation, Team Engineering Challenge, Applied Math, Metric 500, Quiz Bowl, Opening and Closing Ceremony (OCC), Mouse Trap Car Race, Mouse Trap Car Distance, and Mouse Trap Tractor Pull.
The OCC team and the Team Engineering Challenge students qualified to compete at the Nebraska State SkillsUSA Conference in Grand Island. The OCC team won a state championship and qualified for national SkillsUSA in Louisville, Kentucky this summer! The Team Engineering Challenge got a Bronze medal at State also.
The students did a great job and had a lot of fun. The results below show their hard work!
