Congratulations Class of 2025

Congratulations to the Wahoo High School Class of 2025!

This year's senior class celebrated its final day of school on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Graduation was celebrated on Sunday, May 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

Fifty-three percent of this year's graduates plan to attend a four-year college or university, twenty-five percent plan to attend a two-year college, and 22 percent will either join the workforce or will enlist into a branch of the military.

The graduates of the class of 2025 will attend twenty-six different post-secondary learning institutions, with the largest numbers attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (6), the University of Nebraska at Omaha (6), and Southeast Community College (8).

Academic Success: The class had one National Merit Scholarship finalist and two students were named to the Omaha World-Herald All Academic Honorable Mention list. Seven seniors earned President's Education Awards Program Academic Excellence pins and certificates and fourteen earned Academic Achievement pins and certificates. On the ACT, seventeen seniors scored a 25 or better, and four seniors scored a 30 or better.

Eighty percent of seniors applied for local scholarships. Nearly $110,000 in local scholarships were awarded to this year's senior class.

Danielle Christine Baker is the daughter of Kelly Baker and Matthew Baker. She plans to attend Midland University and major in Nursing.

Nash Joseph Beasley is the son of Amanda and Chris Beasley. He plans to attend the University of South Dakota and major in Finance.

Alexander Joshua Borchers is the son of Julie and Josh Borchers. He plans to attend Southeast Community College and his major is undeclared.

Noah Paul Bordovsky is the son of Jennifer and Chris Bordovsky. He plans to attend Southeast Community College and major in Electrical Technology.

Landon Gregory Brigham is the son of Melissa and Greg Brigham. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and major in Business Administration.

Austin Jacob Clemon is the son of Kim and Clint Clemon. He plans to attend WyoTech and major in Diesel Technology.

Gage Regis Cooney is the son of Tara and Ronald Cooney. He plans to attend Southeast Community College and major in Health Sciences.

Kaydence Rayne Decker is the daughter of Sam Decker. She was an early graduate and entered the workforce.

Adelia Jane Dunlap is the daughter of Amy and Aaron Dunlap. She plans to attend the College of Saint Mary and major in Business with a concentration in Accounting.

Madden Lee Dwerlkotte is the son of Crystal and Brent Dwerlkotte. He plans to attend Southeast Community College and major in Physical Therapy.

Elijah Alan Emerson is the son of Leah and Erik Emerson. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and major in Construction Management.

Gracey Ann Fairbanks is the daughter of Tracee and Jeremy Fairbanks. She plans to attend Creighton University and major in Biochemistry.

Logan John Fittro is the son of Charlotte and John Fittro. He plans to enter the workforce after graduation.

Alicia Rose Foster is the daughter of Angie and Darold Foster. She plans to attend Simpson College and major in Music Education or Theater.

Anica Genee’ Gannon is the daughter of America Gannon-Warren and the stepdaughter of Kevin Warren. She plans to attend Wayne State College and major in English Language Arts Education.

Jaymes Allen Gaskins is the son of Karie Vasa. He was an early graduate and entered the United States Air Force.

Mathu D’Kota Gies is the son of Annette and Jehremy Gies.

Kaitlyn Marie Hajek is the daughter of Staci Veskerna and Craig Bohannon. She plans to attend Northeast Community College and major in Physical Therapy.

Madison Olivia Hajek is the daughter of Alicia and Christopher Hajek. She plans to attend Wayne State College and major in Vocal/Instrumental Music Education.

David Charles Hart is the son of AnneMarie and Tom Hart. He was an early graduate and entered the workforce.

Alyssa Lynn Havlovic is the daughter of Lindsey and Andy Havlovic. She plans to attend Washburn University and major in Early Education.

Kaitlinn Mary Henderson is the daughter of Deana and Anthony Henderson. She plans to attend Wayne State College and major in Psychology.

Connor Matthew Herndon is the son of Sarah and Christopher Herndon. He plans to attend Northeast Community College and major in Electromechanical Technology.

Peyton Michael Hurt is the son of Nichole and Dana Hurt. He plans to attend Metropolitan Community College and major in Business.

Braylon Thomas Iversen is the son of Lora and Jayson Iversen. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and major in Finance.

Abigail Leila Johnson is the daughter of Jennifer and Nathan Johnson. She plans to attend Kansas University and major in Clinical Lab Science.

Christopher James Johnson is the son of Julie and Kelly Johnson. He plans to attend the Hot Rod Institute and major in Auto Technology.

Chloe Jean Kasischke is the daughter of Tiffany and Josh Kasischke. She plans to attend the College of Saint Mary and major in Nursing.

Miranda Dawn Keller is the daughter of Laura and Tim Keller. She plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and major in Kinesiology.

Logan Kent Kleffner is the son or Cortney and Michael Kleffner. He plans to attend Doane University and major in Education.

Sawyer James Lavaley is the son of Marnell and Brandon Lavaley. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and major in Actuarial Science.

Alexis Marie Lewin is the daughter of Amy Swim and Scott Lewin. She plans to enter the workforce after graduation.

Brock Alan Lofgren is the son of Ashley Markvicka and Blake Lofgren. He plans to enter the workforce after graduation.

Rebecca Elizabeth Louison-Odvody is the daughter of Cicily Odvody and Brian Louison and the stepdaughter of Nicholas Odvody. She plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and major in Applied Sciences.

Erika Jean Maldonado is the daughter of Andrea and Michael Maldonado. She is currently a member of the Nebraska Air National Guard and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and major in Environmental Science.

Wyatt Steven Malina is the son of Amanda Malina and Steven Malina. He plans to attend the Missouri Welding Institute.

Samuel Robert Marxsen is the son of Kim and Matt Marxsen. He plans to attend Southeast Community College and major in Business.

Davian Troy McClain is the son of Sunshine and Joseph McClain. He was an early graduate and entered the workforce.

Makinzie Denise McFarland is the daughter of Aubrie Newsome and Samantha and Joseph McFarland. She plans to attend Southeast Community College and major in Culinary Arts.

Madison Ann Meyer is the daughter of Rebecca and Ryan Meyer. She plans to enter the workforce after graduation.

Isabella Faith Nuss is the daughter of Brandy and David Nuss. She plans to attend Grand Canyon University and major in Biology/Pre-Dentistry.

Graham Allan Nutzman is the son of Alissa and Matthew Nutzman. He plans to attend the University of South Dakota and major in Accounting.

Brian Ortega is the son of Blanca and Otoniel Ortega. He plans to enter the workforce after graduation.

Hailey Marie Pfligler is the daughter of Tracy and Chris Pfligler. She is the stepdaughter of Samantha Pfligler and Jake Stewart.  She plans to attend Bismarck State College and major in Power Generation Technology.

Wyatt David Rezek is the son of Cassandra Rezek. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and major in Accounting.

Gaia Lynn Rodgers-Norris is the daughter of Teresa Rodgers and Kristopher Norris. She plans to attend Minnesota State University-Moorhead and major in Psychology.

Rowen Christopher Sabatka is the son of Danielle Sabatka and Samuel Plastow. He plans to attend Southeast Community College and major in Welding.

Jacob Michael Scanlon is the son of Amber and Mike Scanlon. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and major in Criminal Justice.

Candace Marie Schmidt is the daughter of Justine Wood and Ashley and Brian Schmidt. She plans to attend Northeast Community College and major in Nursing.

Olivia Joy Schneider is the daughter of Sara and Corey Schneider. She plans to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University and major in Social Work.

Gretchen Michelle Seagren is the daughter of Janelle and Jon Seagren. She plans to attend Southwest Minnesota State University and major in Psychology.

Dylan Michael Simons is the son of Erin and Mike Simons. He plans to attend Midland University and major in Business.

Mac James Sledge is the son of Tess Fogerty and Jim Sledge. He plans to attend Minnesota State Community and Technical College and major in Sports Management.

Caden Michael Smart is the son of Mikayla and Seth Smart. He plans to attend Metropolitan Community College and major in Utility Line.

McKenna Jean Smith is the daughter of Jaclyn and Heath Smith. She plans to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University and major in Pre-Medicine.

Madelyn Ann Snyder is the daughter of Courtney and Josh Snyder. She plans to attend Doane University and major in Exercise Science.

Luke Patrick Specht is the son of Candace and Jim Specht. He plans to attend Central Community College and major in Business Transfer.

Owen James States is the son of Kaitie and Paul Bordovsky. He plans to attend Southeast Community College and major in Special Education.

Marshall Griffin Strom is the son of Katherine and Chris Strom. He plans to attend Iowa Western Community College and major in Automotive Technology.

Riley Lynn Swanson is the son of Michelle and Jason Swanson. He plans to attend Southwest Oklahoma State University and major in Agricultural Business.

Audrey Marie Waido is the daughter of Christine and David Waido. She plans to attend Morningside University and major in Pre-Pharmacy.

Saronna Annay Wigfall is the daughter of La Cretia Bechtold and Gregory Wigfall. She plans to attend Grand Canyon University and major in Psychology.

Jason Ross Wittstruck is the son of Candace and Eric Wittstruck. He plans to enter the workforce after graduation.

Delaney Jordan Wusk is the daughter of Taylor and Jacob Wusk. She plans to attend Wayne State College and major in Special Education.

Emilio Conrique Zaragoza is the son of Claudia and Jesus Zaragoza. He plans to enter the workforce after high school.
