2007 WHS Softball TeamThe Wahoo Warrior softball team is currently 15-7. We placed 2nd at the Ashland-Greenwood Invite, 3rd at the Plattsmouth tournament and we won the championship at the Capitol Conference tournament. During the Capitol Conference Tournament we beat Conestoga 3-2, 4th-rated Bennington 5-3, and DC West in the championship game 2-1.
The girls played with a lot of heart during all three of these games. Currently Kali Pfeiffer is batting a .429, Kelsey Loos is batting a .407, and Brittany Asche is batting a .345. Shelby Partridge is the main pitcher for us on the mound and she has an ERA of 3.25 and a record of 10-5. We are a very strong hitting team that has six over-the-fence homeruns. Pfeiffer and Katie Stuchlik each have two, and Loos, Asche, and Taylor Flessner each have one.
Jordan Hinrichs is our vocal leader from behind the plate and Ambrey Semrad helps lead her team defensively from the first base position. On September 29 we play in the Neumann Round Robin with our first game at 10:00 a.m., and then we host the district tournament on October 4 and 5.
