Sotelo & Spangler: 2014 State Wrestling Qualifiers!

Spangler takes 5th in State Championship (@ 170 lbs.)!

The Warrior Wrestling team finished its 2013-14 season on February 22 with two State qualifiers and one State medalist in Omaha.  

Junior Ivan Sotelo made his second trip to Omaha, while senior Colton Spangler made the most of his first trip by battling back from an early loss to finish with a 5th place medal.

This year started out rough, losing three key varsity starters very early to injuries that kept them out most of the season. The Warriors had five wrestlers in the heartbreak round, but lost some close matches and only walked away with two qualifiers.  

Overall we were able to battle through a very challenging schedule to gain some valuable experience that will help to build up to what could be a very successful next few years.
