C1 PLAYOFFS
The NSAA C1 State Football Playoffs began on Friday, Oct. 30. A big 4th quarter sealed the win for #7 Wahoo over #10 Mitchell in the first round. Wahoo traveled to #2 Pierce for the playoff quarterfinal on Nov. 6, but suffered a season-ending 28-42 loss to the Bluejays. The Warriors end their 2020 season with a 7-3 record.

Wahoo’s season came to a close with a 28-42 loss to the Pierce Bluejays in the 2020 Class C-1 Quarterfinals.
Wahoo struggled to move the ball in the third quarter, and Pierce’s passing game proved to be too much for the Warriors as they finish the year 7-3.
Offensively, Wahoo was led by Colin Ludvik with 30 rushes for 90 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Tate Nelson had 11 carries for 91 yards on the ground. Nelson added 101 yards passing and 2 touchdown passes. Cooper Hancock led all receivers with 3 catches for 60 yards and 1 touchdown catch.
Defensively, the Warriors were led by the linebackers Grant Kolterman with 9 tackles, Gavin Pokorny with 8 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss, and Curtis Swahn with 5 tackles. Carson Lavaley had 5 tackles and 1 sack.
Wahoo finished the season 7-3, making the quarterfinals for the fifth straight season.

Wahoo scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from Mitchell in the opening round of the 2020 Class C1 Football Playoffs.
Offensively, Wahoo was led by Colin Ludvik with 23 rushes for 126 yards and 1rushing touchdown. Grant Kolterman had a big fourth quarter with 2 catches for 29 yards, and 63 rushing yards on 3 carries and 2 touchdown runs. Tate Nelson was 8 for 12 passing for 82 yards.
Defensively, the Warriors were led by the linebackers Kolterman with 10 tackles. Gavin Pokorny had 10 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss, and Curtis Swahn had 10 tackles. Malachi Bordovsky had 8 tackles. Nelson had 4 tackles and 1 interception. Carson Lavaley had 7 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss.
Wahoo will travel to Pierce (9-0) for the Quarterfinals of Playoffs next Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Wahoo closed out the regular season with a big win over Malcolm. Wahoo jumped out to a quick 20-0 lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back.
Offensively, Wahoo was led by Colin Ludvik who had 14 rushes for 228 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. Ludvik also had 2 catches for 58 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gavin Pokorny added 2 touchdowns with 58 yards rushing on 11 carries. Cooper Hancock had 3 catches for 23 yards.
Defensively, the Warriors were led by Grant Kolterman with 5 tackles and 1 sack. Pokorny had 7 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss. Malachi Bordovsky had 6 tackles. Hancock had 2 tackles and 1 interception, Trent Hallowell had 1 tackle and 2 interceptions. Carson Lavaley had 4 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss. Curtis Swahn had 3 tackles and a fumble recovery.
Wahoo will host Mitchell (8-1) for the First Round of the NSAA State Playoffs next Friday at 2:00 p.m.

Wahoo got back to their winning ways on Friday with another shutout win over Raymond Central.
Offensively, Wahoo was led by Tate Nelson who had a great night passing the ball to 8 different targets. Nelson went 16-21 passing for 251 yards and 2 touchdowns. Cooper Hancock was Nelson’s favorite target, with 7 receptions for 142 yards and 1 touchdown. Colin Ludvik had 20 carries for 123 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Defensively, the Warriors were led by Grant Kolterman with 6 tackles and 1 sack. Tate Nelson had 3 tackles with 1 tackle for loss and 1 interception. Carson Lavaley had 3 tackles and 1 fumble recovery.
Wahoo will host Malcolm (3-4) for the last regular-season game of the year next Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Wahoo struggled much of the evening as they took their second loss of the season, falling to Ashland-Greenwood 22-47.
Offensively, Wahoo was led by Gavin Pokorny with 10 carries, 103 yards rushing, and 1 touchdown. Colin Ludvik had 13 carries for 86 yards and 1 touchdown.
Defensively, the Warriors were led by Malachi Bordovksy with 11 tackles, Cooper Hancock with 10 tackles, Gavin Pokorny with 10 tackles, and Colin Ludvik with 7 tackles.
Wahoo’s special teams had the one bright spot in the evening. Cooper Hancock had 103 return yards on the evening, with 1 punt return and 2 kick returns.
Wahoo will travel to Raymond Central (5-2) to play next Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Wahoo dominated the Platteview Trojans on Friday night, scoring 46 points and only allowing 6 points. Wahoo amassed 478 total yards of offense and only allowed 20 yards of offense.
Offensively Wahoo was led by Tate Nelson in the air, passing for 147 yards and 4 touchdown passes. Tate was very efficient throwing the ball, completing 6 passes on 8 attempts. Colin Ludvik led all rushers with 178 yards rushing on 16 carries and had 1 touchdown run. Cooper Hancock had 3 receptions for 75 yards and 2 touchdown catches, and Sebastian Lausterer had 1 touchdown reception for 53 yards.
Defensively the Warriors were led by Grant Kolterman, who had 10 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, and 1 sack. Carson Lavaley had 5 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, and 1 sack, while Justin Nuckolls had 3 tackles and 2 tackles for a loss.
Wahoo will travel to Louisville next Friday for a 7:00 p.m. game.

Wahoo’s Defense pitched another shutout on Friday night as they traveled to Milford.
The Warrior Defense only allowed 98 yards of total offense, and charted its third shutout of the season. Defensively, Wahoo’s top tacklers were led by Grant Kolterman with 13 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss. Trevor McEvoy had 8 tackles and a forced fumble. Tate Nelson and Malachi Bordovksy each had an interception.
Offensively, the Warriors were led by Colin Ludvik with 14 carries for 235 yards and 1 TD. Tate Nelson was 6-9 passing for 58 yards with 1 TD pass. Cooper Hancock added 40 yards of rushing and 27 yards of receiving with 3 touchdowns.
Wahoo will host Platteview (2-2) next Friday for a 7:00 p.m. game.

Wahoo got back to its winning ways on Friday night by defeating Boys Town 25-0.
Wahoo’s offense was off to a slow start, plagued by penalties and turnovers. They finally got on the score board with time expiring in the first half, when Tate Nelson threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Sebastian Lausterer for the first score. Nelson added two more touchdowns on the ground. Colin Ludvik led all rushers with 22 carries for 90 yards. Cooper Hancock had 4 receptions for 38 yards.
The Warrior Defense only allowed 18 yards of total offense and charted its second shutout of the season. Defensively, Wahoo’s top tacklers were led by Carson Lavaley with 6 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, and 1 sack. Justin Nuckolls had 3 tackles and 1 sack. Gavin Pokorny had 4 tackles, 2 of those for a loss. Grant Kolterman had 4 tackles on the evening.
Wahoo will travel to Milford (1-1) next Friday for a 7:00 p.m. game.

Wahoo suffered its first home loss since 2016 last Friday evening to Adams Central. Wahoo’s offense sputtered all night long, unable to sustain drives and put points on the board, and the defense struggled to stop Adams Central’s running game.
Wahoo’s offense was led by Colin Ludvik, who had 21 carries for 96 yards and 1 TD. Gavin Pokorny led all receivers with 3 catches for 73 yards. Tate Nelson was 6 for 12 passing for 94 yards and 1 interception.
Defensively, Wahoo’s top tacklers were led by Cooper Hancock with 13 tackles, Gavin Pokorny with 12 tackles, Grant Kolterman with 11 tackles, and Justin McEvoy with 9 tackles.
Wahoo will travel to Boys Town (0-2) next Friday for a 7:00 p.m. game.

The Wahoo Warriors defense picked up right where it left off last season, posting a shut-out in the 2020 season opener! The defense controlled the line of scrimmage much of the game, only allowing 194 yards of total offense and 0 points. Grant Kolterman led all defenders with 10 total tackles (5 solo, 5 assisted) and a tackle for loss. Gavin Pokorny had 7 tackles (4 assisted, 3 solos) and Colin Ludvik had 7 tackles (5 assisted. 2 solos). Carson Lavaley had a caused fumble with a fumble recovery, and Justin McEvoy had 2 tackles with an interception.
Offensively, Wahoo was led by Colin Ludvik on the ground with 28 carries for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns. Grant Kolterman had 3 carries for 53 yards. Cooper Hancock led all receivers with 5 catches for 57 yards and 1 TD. Tate Nelson had 7 carries for 51 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. He also was 8 for 10 passing for 74 yards and another touchdown.
Next Friday Wahoo will welcome the Top 10 ranked Adams Central Patriots to town.
