Wahoo hosted Kearney Catholic on Friday and suffered a season-ending loss at the hands of the Stars.
Offensively, Wahoo struggled to get their offense going as Gavin Pokorny had 14 carries for 53 yards and Colin Ludvik had 8 carries for 31 yards. Ludvik also had a catch for 15 yards. Sam Edmonds came into the game in the fourth quarter and provided a spark for the offense with 5 carries for 99 yards and 1 rushing touchdown.
Defensively, Wahoo was led by Curtis Swahn who had 9 tackles. Ludvik had 8 tackles and 1 fumble recovery. William Nielson had 7 tackles and 1 sack. Ben Thrasher had 5 tackles and 1 sack. Trent Hallowell had 5 tackles and a caused fumble.
Wahoo ended their season with a 7-4 record and a 6th consecutive trip to the Quarterfinals of the C-1 playoffs.

Wahoo traveled to Auburn on Friday to take on the Bulldogs for the first round of the Class C-1 2021 Playoffs.
Offensively, the Warriors used a balanced running attack with Colin Ludvik having 12 carries for 77 yards, Gavin Pokorny had 13 carries for 70 yards with 1 touchdown, and Owen Hancock had 12 carries for 55 yards and 1 touchdown. Hancock was 4 for 6 passing for 83 yards and 1 touchdown. Trent Hallowell had 1 catch for 35 yards and a touchdown. Andrew Waido had 1 catch for 27 yards and Curtis Swahn had 1 catch for 17 yards and 5 carries for 36 yards with 1 touchdown.
Defensively, Wahoo was led by Trent Hallowell with 3 interceptions for the game and 3 tackles. Carson Lavaley had 6 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 sack. Pokorny had 8 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. Brandon Hasenkamp and Zach Fox each had 6 tackles apiece. Malachi Bordovsky had 5 tackles, Dominek Rohleder had 5 tackles, as well as 1 tackle for loss and 1 sack.
Wahoo will host undefeated Kearney Catholic (10-0) for the second round of the 2021 Playoffs next Friday.

Wahoo took on Raymond Central on Friday night and beat the Mustangs 31-6 with a dominating performance by the Warrior Defense.
Offensively, the Warriors were led by Colin Ludvik who had 19 carries for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gavin Pokorny had 9 carries for 28 yards and Owen Hancock had 4 carries for 35 yards and 1 TD. Curtis Swahn also had 7 carries for 31 yards and 1 TD. Hancock was 8 for 15 passing for 96 yards and 1 touchdown. Trent Hallowell led all receivers with 5 catches for 45 yards and Pokorny had 2 catches for 35 yards and 1 TD.
Defensively, Wahoo was led by Swahn with 8 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 interception. Carson Lavaley had 4 tackles, a tackle for loss and 2 sacks. Josh Edmonds had 3 tackles and 1 interception. Wahoo came up short versus C-1 top-ranked Ashland-Greenwood. On defense and special teams, the Warriors played well enough to win, but struggled on offense with turnovers and the inability to run the football consistently.
Offensively, the Warriors were led by Gavin Pokorny again, amassing 50 yards on 9 carries, and scoring 1 touchdown. Colin Ludvik had 11 carries for 28 yards. Owen Hancock was 11-20 passing for 48 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. Trent Hallowell led all receivers with 2 catches for 18 yards and 1 touchdown.

Wahoo dominated in all phases of the game on Friday night when they took on the Louisville Lions, winning 52-7.
Offensively, the Warriors were led by Gavin Pokorny again who amassed 232 yards on 14 carries, scoring 4 touchdowns. Colin Ludvik had 10 carries for 49 yards and 2 touchdowns. Owen Hancock was 10-16 passing for 102 yards and 1 interception. Trent Hallowell led all receivers with 5 catches for 27 yards.

Wahoo rebounded from last week’s loss with a 22-7 victory over Trailblazer Conference foe Platteview Trojans.
Offensively, the Warriors were better this week with 244 yards rushing. They were led by Gavin Pokorny, who had 11 carries for 132 yards. Colin Ludvik had 19 carries for 65 yards and Owen Hancock had 7 carries for 32 yards and 3 rushing TDs. The Warriors struggled to throw the ball as Owen Hancock went 2 for 10 for only 14 yards. Trent Hallowell and William Nielson each had a catch for 7 yards.
Defensively, Wahoo was led by Curtis Swahn who had 9 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 tackles for loss. Ludvik had 11 tackles and 1 caused fumble, Carson Lavaley had 6 tackles and 2 tackles for loss. Justin McEvoy had a Red Zone pick that ended a potential scoring drive for Platteview.
Wahoo will play the Louisville Lions (2-3) at home next Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Wahoo was plagued with turnovers again as they struggled early in the game, giving up 21 points in the first half. The Warriors were able to come back in the second half to tie the game 21-21 in the fourth quarter, but two interceptions late in the game sealed the Warriors’ fate as they dropped to 2-2 on the season.
Offensively, the Warriors struggled to move the ball consistently, as Owen Hancock led all rushers with 14 carries for 90 yards and 1 TD, followed by Gavin Pokorny with 10 carries for 63 yards for 1 TD, and Curtis Swahn with 4 carries for 55 yards and 2 TD’s. Receiver Andrew Waido had 1 catch for 42 yards and Trent Hallowell had 2 catches for 19 yards. Hancock was 5-15 passing for 63 yards for 1 TD and 3 interceptions.
Defensively, Wahoo struggled in the first half on third downs versus the pass. The Warriors only allowed 27 yards rushing, but allowed 185 yards passing. Pokorny had 4 tackles, Swahn had 4 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 fumble recovery, and Carson Lavaley had 4 tackles with 1 sack and 3 tackles for loss.
Wahoo will play the Trailblazer Conference foe Platteview Trojans (3-1) next Friday at Platteview High School.

Wahoo survived another close game against the Boys Town Cowboys on Friday evening in their 2021 Homecoming contest. The Warrior defense had another gritty performance, holding the Cowboys to 12 points.
Defensively, Wahoo was led by Ben Thrasher, who had 7 tackles and a fumble recovery. Gavin Pokorny had 4 tackles and an interception. Dominek Rohleder and Brandon Hasenkamp both helped out with 6 tackles each. Jacob Andresen had 2 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 tackle for a loss.
Offensively, Owen Hancock led all rushers with 8 attempts for 78 yards and 1 touchdown. Colin Ludvik had 14 carries for 55 yards and 5 catches for 45 yards. Owen Hancock also passed for 2 touchdowns, going 14 for 18 for 149 yards. William Nielson had 3 catches for 43 yards and 1 touchdown, and Trent Hallowell had 2 catches for 32 yards and 1 touchdown.

Wahoo pulled out an upset victory on Friday night to knock off the #2-rated Adams Central Patriots on their home field. The Warrior defense played lights out to hold the Adams Central offense to 8 points.
Offensively the Warriors were led by Colin Ludvik with 18 carries for 86 yards. Gavin Pokorny had 8 carries for 66 yards, and Owen Hancock had 12 carries for 20 yards and 2 TD runs. Hancock also went 9 for 12 passing for 165 yards. Hancock’s favorite target for the game was Andrew Waido, who had 5 catches for 101 yards. Pokorny had 2 catches for 33 yards, and William Nielson had 1 catch for 29 yards.
On defense Wahoo was led by senior linebacker Ben Thrasher with 12 tackles and junior defensive lineman Dominek Rohleder with 9 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. Zach Fox also had 8 tackles and Curtis Swahn had 4 tackles and 1 sack. Pokorny had 1 interception that sealed the game with less than 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Next Friday Wahoo will play its home opener against 0-2 Boys Town for their 2021 Homecoming game.

The Warrior Football team traveled to Columbus Scotus on Friday and suffered their first loss of the 2021 season. The Wahoo defense struggled to slow down the Shamrock offense, and the Warrior offense experienced costly turnovers in the red zone.
Wahoo was led by senior running back Colin Ludvik, who had 19 carries for 133 yards and 2 touchdowns. Senior running backs Gavin Pokorny also contributed offensively 7 carries for 74 yards, and Curtis Swahn had 6 carries for 30 yards. Trent Hallowell led all receivers with 5 catches for 55 yards. Owen Hancock was 10 for 21 for 101 yards and 2 interceptions.
Defensively, the Warriors were led by Malachi Bordovsky with 10 tackles. Curtis Swahn had 6 tackles and Gavin Pokorny had 5 tackles with a fumble recovery. Kyan Lausterer also had 5 tackles for the game.
Wahoo will travel to #2-ranked Adams Central next Friday for a 7:00 p.m. game.
