To honor American Enterprise Day, Kim Marxson, founder and owner of Mocha K's, was invited to speak to FBLA and the Business Management class students.

November 15 is recognized by Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) each year as American Enterprise Day. This date is set aside to salute and publicize the American free enterprise system and to teach others about it.

There is no better example of free enterprise than Wahoo’s own Mocha K’s.  

To celebrate and honor American Enterprise Day, FBLA invited Kim Marxson, founder and co-owner of Mocha K’s, to speak to their organization and to the WHS Business Management class.

Marxson went through the process of developing Mocha K’s from an idea to an actual place of business. She shared with the group resources they used and examples of both good and bad decisions they made along the way. Marxson emphasized to students that if they have an idea, through determination and hard work, it is possible to bring it to fruition.

Caroline Hohl said that she was psyched after listening to Marxson. She said opening a business of her own is something she has always wanted to do, but didn’t think was possible.  

Marxson gave the students great insight as to how free enterprise works in America.
