TAB Performance to Fund All Kids Bike Program to Empower Kindergarten Students at Wahoo Elementary
All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class
All Kids Bike, the national 501(c)(3) nonprofit teaching kindergarten students how to ride bikes in PE class, is activating their All Kids Bike Kindergarten PE Learn-to-Ride Program at Wahoo Elementary School, thanks to a generous donation from TAB Performance.
The comprehensive program includes teacher training and certification, complete curriculum with lesson plans, games and activities, a fleet of 24 Strider balance-to-pedal bikes, pedal conversion kits, fully adjustable student helmets, an instructor bike with pedal conversion kit and helmet, two rolling storage racks, and access to a resource portal with live support for the life of the program. Wahoo Elementary School celebrated the introduction of the program with a kickoff event alongside TAB Performance attendees, who had the opportunity to build the bikes for the program beforehand.
“At TAB Performance, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back, stated Casey, Pflanz, owner of TAB Performance. “Our donation to All Kids Bike is a testament to our commitment to fostering a safer and healthier future for our children. Teaching kids how to ride a bike safely not only promotes physical activity but also instills a sense of independence and confidence. It’s crucial that we equip the next generation with the skills they need to navigate the world safely and responsibly on two wheels. We’re proud to support All Kids Bike in their mission to make bike riding accessible and safe for all children.”
Lisa Weyer, executive director of the Strider Education Foundation, expressed appreciation for the partnership with TAB Performance, emphasizing the transformative impact of early bike riding education. “Learning to ride a bike empowers children with a positive foundation for a lifelong skill. We are proud to collaborate with TAB Performance, inspiring positive changes in physical education nationwide." At Wahoo Elementary School, this program will positively impact approximately 80 kindergarten students each year by teaching them how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class. With a lifespan of 7-10 years for the equipment, it is estimated that up to 800 students will benefit from this initiative over the next decade.

"We are incredibly grateful to TAB Performance for their generous donation of the All Kids Bike Program. This gift is an investment which impacts our students' futures by promoting healthy lifestyle choices, helping them to develop balance, coordination, physical fitness and resilience through the joy of riding a bike. As a school community that prides itself on providing opportunities for our students to grow both academically and physically, the addition of this program makes sense. The mission of Wahoo Public Schools is to, 'Inspire our Students to Thrive' and the All Kids Bike Program supports this mission," stated Dr. Josh Snyder, Director of Learning.
TAB Performance and All Kids Bike are committed to enriching the lives of young learners and cultivating valuable skills through the joy of bike riding. This collaborative effort exemplifies their dedication to building healthier, happier communities, one pedal at a time.
