Video PSA Created to Help Battle a Disturbing Childhood Hygiene Issue
The Word "Booger" Makes Its Debut on the WPS Web Site

Boogie knows that most people think that he's gross, and some people even call him a snot. But he doesn't feel bad because he does great things! He keeps us from getting SICK! He's a true defender and is just asking for a little RESPECT!
With the help of 8th grader Andrew Smith as "Boogie," and Wahoo Elementary Guidance Counselor Ann Egr as the "Booger Ghost," Wahoo Elementary Aide Amber Scott has created a semi-live version of the book I Am a Booger . . . Treat Me with Respect by Julia Cook (illustrated by Carson Cook).
The video incorporates shots from the book, and live action shots from the stars of the book, Boogie and The Booger Ghost. The book video is narrated by Andrew Smith. There is also a catchy song at the end of the video "Don't Eat It", sung to the tune of "Beat It" by Michael Jackson, that kids will have fun listening to.
The video is to help remind our elementary students the proper way to get rid of their boogers, and to stay healthy by using a kleenex.
