WPS Breaks Ground for New Performing Arts Center
Ceremony Also Includes Open House for New Fitness Center
The Wahoo Public Schools held a ground breaking ceremony on June 16 for the new Performing Arts Center, which is projected to be completed by September 2011. The new 750-seat facility will be the first of its kind in Saunders County.
In addition to the performing arts center, the project also includes the addition of new band and choir classrooms, as well as a remodel of the middle/high school's main entrance.
Immediately following the ground breaking ceremony was an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Fitness Center, a state-of-the-art facility which now exists in place of the old Little Theater.

Wahoo Public Schools would like to offer its sincere appreciation to the Board of Education, parents, and other community members who helped to support this important project!
