Three Wahoo High School band students were accepted into the 2018 Underclassmen Honor Band at Kearney High School.
This annual honor band is comprised of excellent freshman and sophomore band students from programs all across the state of Nebraska. The students who participated in the two bands were from over 50 different Nebraska schools.
A big congratulations to WHS sophomore Eli Brabec, WHS freshman Avery Spicka, and WHS sophomore Madison Bittleston for being selected for this honor!
The three selected students traveled to Kearney on January 15, where they spent the day rehearsing with recognized clinicians/conductors. Rex Barker of Midland University and Dr. Karen Fannin of UNO conducted this year’s event.
