Big congratulations to WHS sophomore Sydney Holdsworth for making it into the 2015 All-State Band!
Students from across the state auditioned for an opportunity to perform in Nebraska’s most prestigious honor band. Holdsworth was among eight saxophone students selected from state-wide auditioners to perform.
Holdswroth spent three days rehearsing in Lincoln with the rest of the band in preparation for the Saturday evening concert (Nov. 21) at the Lied Center in Lincoln. The rehearsals and concert were conducted by the well-known conductor Anthony Maiello, Professor of Music at George Mason University School of Music in Fairfax, Virginia.
