Holdsworth, Edmonds, Carstens, Moore & Pace's ratings lead Wahoo to 3rd place team trophy

On Saturday, February 20, 2016, five Wahoo band students traveled to Elkhorn South High school to compete in the Elkhorn South Band Olympics.

The Band Olympics is a solo and small ensemble competition for band students in 9th and 10th grade. Students are a given a rating by judges and then are ranked. Students that get 1st through 5th place in their instrument category earn a medal. Ratings and medals also contribute to earning a team trophy.

Sydney Holdsworth received a 2nd place medal for 10th Grade Alto Saxophones, Korena Edmonds received a 5th place medal for Bass Clarinet, Payton Carstens received a 3rd place medal for Baritone Saxophone, Cheyenne Moore received a Superior rating, and Katie Pace received an Excellent rating.

Overall, Wahoo took the 3rd place trophy in our division against eight other schools! A job well done for our first time in this competition!
