Class of 1948 Makes Generous Donation
Alumni Forward Remaining Reunion Funds to WHS Music Program

A generous donation was recently given to the music department by the WHS Class of 1948.
After deciding they would no longer hold regular reunions, the Class of 1948 decided that the remaining balance in their reunion fund should be donated to Wahoo Public’s music program.
Marilyn Rezac Benal, who represented her graduating class, came to the school to personally deliver the $352.13 check to vocal music director Julie Baker-Anderson.
“I thought and dreamed about giving this donation all last summer,” she exclaimed with a smile.
Baker-Anderson gratefully accepted the donation, thanking Benal for all of her support, as well as the support of her classmates.
