An Instrument Worthy of a New Stage

New Grand Piano Delivered Sept. 21 for Learning & Performing Arts Center

On Wednesday, September 21, a wonderful new addition was added to the Wahoo Performing Arts Center Stage: a beautiful brand new Yamaha concert grand piano!

WHS Music Teachers Tim Rischling and Julie Baker-Anderson were there to meet the new addition, along with WPS Superintendent Galen Boldt, WMS Principal Christ Arent, Music Booster Presidents Char and Brian Schubauer, Bob Chvatal and Lisa Brichacek from the Wahoo Newspaper.

Dietz Music in Lincoln was gracious in providing a nice discount for the perfect centerpiece of performance!

All watched and listened in awe as the very first musical notes rang throughout the theatre.

Funding for the piano was generously donated by the Wahoo Schools Music Boosters, the Wahoo School Foundation, the Alumni Reunion Organization (founded by the WHS Class of 1959), and the school district.

The piano will be the centerpiece of the stage as it provides years of enjoyment for students, parents, staff and the community.

“It just rings!” Anderson exclaimed as the first notes were played.

May the notes of this brand new beautiful instrument ring for many years to come!

YAY! It was worth watching just to see the look on Mrs. Anderson's face and hear Mr. Boldt play! What a wonderful addition to our school.
