WMS student selected for 2014 UNK All-State Honor Band
Holdsworth performs in ensemble of 350+ of Nebraska's finest

On Saturday, January 18, Wahoo Middle School student Sydney Holdsworth traveled to the University of Nebaska at Kearney to perform with the 8th Grade All-State Honor Band.
Holdsworth was one of 82 students from all over the state that made it through the audition process.
Over 350 of Nebraska’s best 8th grade musicians auditioned for this ensemble. The ensemble had to prepare several pieces of difficult repertoire, and spent the day working with University of Nebraska-Lincoln Associate Director of Bands- Anthony Falcone.
Later that day, the students performed for a packed auditorium. The students were well prepared, and the performance was spectacular. Congratulations to Sydney on her accomplishment!
