The Nebraska Shakespeare Festival, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was founded in September 1986. Their vision is to find ways to make Shakespeare a part of our society beyond the literature and drama classrooms and to do so in a way that is both free and accessible to a diverse audience. The company is focused on delivering experiences that are true to the text and intent of Shakespeare while creatively and dynamically relevant to contemporary life. They currently serve 50,000 individuals through quality theatrical performances and educational forums, including the fall performance and educational tour encompassing over 35 communities throughout Nebraska and western Iowa.
This event is being funded, in part, through grants from the Nebraska Arts Council and the Wahoo Community Foundation.
