NE Attorney General visits WMS/WHS students
Doug Peterson talks about his office and current issues important to Nebraskans
Wahoo Middle and High Schools were pleased to welcome Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson on Tuesday, December 1.
Attorney General Peterson spoke for about an hour to Mr. Mueller’s Honors American Government students, National Honor Society members, and middle school HAL and student council students.
During the talk, the Attorney General explained the duties of his office and how his office relates to the Constitution and to students’ lives. He also discussed in detail some of the current issues affecting Nebraska, including the death penalty and the legalization of marijuana in nearby states.
Attorney General Peterson also took questions from a very attentive audience of nearly 70 students.
