Six WHS Students Win Prizes in 2009 American Legion Auxiliary Essay Contest
Two First Place Winners Advance to State Competition

This year students wrote on the topic, “American’s Veterans Past and Present—why we need to honor them.” First place winners in each division won $25, second place winners won $15, and third place winners won $10.
Launch the media gallery 2 playerThe following students from Wahoo High School won prizes in this year’s essay contest in the eleventh and twelfth grade division: Hank Hrdlicka, first place; Sam Cook, second place; Ashley Jordan, third place.
The following students won prizes in the ninth and tenth grade division: Sean Lindgren, first place; Spencer Wright, second place; Richard Dunn, third place.
The first place winner in each division will now advance on the to state competition.
