Corby Brigham: Runza Student of the Week!
WHS senior recognized for academic & athletic excellence
Congratulations to WHS senior Corby Brigham, who was recently announced as Runza's Student of the Week!
"Balancing homework, school & community involvement, and one's personal life is a difficult challenge in high school. Some students do this so well we feel they should be recognized," according to Runza's website. "Runza Restaurants and KETV created a partnership to honor senior students for their achievements in the classroom and in the community and provide them a $500 scholarship for college."
Brigham received the award for his excellence in the classroom, school activities, and in his service to the community. He is the son of Rob and Kim Brigham of Wahoo, and was nominated for the award by WHS Spanish Instructor Cass Didier.
"Corby is nice, intelligent, and a true leader in and out of the classroom" Didier commented. "He's the type of kid that makes me want to stay in teaching!"
Brigham is ranked 1st in his class with a 3.99 GPA. He is captain of the football team, and an active participant in basketball, track, National Honor Society, Circle of Friends, Multicultural Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and Student Council.
Congratulations Corby on this honor!
