Hancock Selected as KPTM Fox 42 "Student Athlete of the Week"
Successful 4.0 Scholar & 3-Sport Athlete Receives Plaque/Scholarship for Efforts
Wahoo High School senior Morgan Hancock has been selected as the KPTM News "Student Athlete of the Week" for the week of February 7, 2011.
Hancock was selected for her outstanding contributions and leadership in both the academic and athletic arenas. Hancock has maintained a 4.0 grade point average, serves in the WHS National Honor Society and president of the Student Council, volunteers her time as a mentor for elementary students, and has excelled as a three-sport athlete at WHS (softball, basketball, and track). She was very active in leading her softball team to a 2010 State Championship, finishing the game despite a torn ACL during the 3rd inning.
Hancock was presented a plaque and a $500 scholarship by Fox 42. She plans to attend the University of South Dakota in Vermillion next year, where she will pursue a major in pre-medicine.
