WMS/WHS takes 2nd place @ 2015 SDSU Engineering Expo!
23 students compete against 30 NE/SD/MN schools & bring home numerous honors!
Twenty-three students, representing Wahoo Middle School and High School, participated in the 2015 South Dakota State University Engineering Expo on April 24.
An Innovative Teaching Grant from the Wahoo Public Schools Foundation funded the overnight lodging and meals for the students, which extended the opportunity beyond just the students studying physics.
While at the Expo, students competed against 30 other schools from Nebraska, South Dakota, and Minnesota in events that ranged from math competitions to racing rocket cars in a single-elimination drag race format.
At the end of a long, exciting day, the Wahoo team placed second in the overall team competition!
